Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

The Dowager loved her Son, but she was wise enough to know that Philip had neglected him in favor of many of his Bastard children, and so Charles had grown up bitter and autocratic. At the end, he had so hated his Father that he had sworn to live his life as differently as possibly. ~ pg 255 Daughter of York

  3. I haven’t read a good historical novel in a while. But reading your teaser I think it’s time to pick one up again

  4. Sounds sad….thanks for sharing. Here’s MY TUESDAY MEMES POST

It is a little bit sad yes. I have not actually gotten to that part of the book myself but it is a book about the War of the Roses time period so sadness usually appears.
